Pico in Spanish is peak or highest level, a fitting name for an organic vegan chocolate brand with very high standards. Their product is a delicate balance of flavours and ingredients, the taste perfected by Swiss master chocolatiers. After a few years in the market Pico saw the need to stand out in the face of new competition in the boutique chocolate space they helped pioneer.
The brief was to make the product work a little harder on the shelf while retaining the essence of a brand with a loyal existing customer base. The design and packaging called for a subtle evolution with a focus on elevating the premium product inside. We used bold typography and a refreshed colour palette to hint at the exquisite flavours within, using luscious shades to compliment the deep colours of the chocolate. Supported by a vibrant poster campaign, the revamp helped Pico reclaim their place at the pinnacle of the chocolate mountain. The initial packaging design was created by Swear Words.
